Up’ta Camp!

After ten years together, it’s happening! we’re making it official! and we are so excited to celebrate with you, our dearest friends and family.

“Camp” means a lot of things, but in Maine it refers to a cabin or cottage deep in the woods – a slice of heaven on earth. The Lightbody Camp has been in the family since the 1960’s, and was only just recently renovated to be a year-round residence on the South Shore of Whetstone Pond. We have put in our requests, but for now the address does not register with any map or GPS. So… when you arrive, the best we can do is tell you to follow the signs. Rest assured we will do our best to make sure you can’t miss ’em! Until then, see how to get there.

All festivities will be held at the Lightbody Camp, and all guests are welcome to attend scheduled events as well as any opportunity there is to take advantage of unstructured time. Think swimming, boat rides, kayaking, flotillas, sunbathing, puzzles, board games, lawn games, hot tubbing, star gazing, bird watching, making friends with chipmunks, shootin’ the shit, shootin’ shit*, cracking a cold one on the dock, kickin’ yer feet back and/or soaking it all in.

We recommend traveling Wednesday, August 5 or Thursday, August 6, and planning for a full day at the Lightbody Camp on Friday, August 7. All are welcome to stay through the following Wednesday, August 12, if so desired. See accommodations for more info.

Check out the map we made with points of interest to help with planning your trip, and kindly keep us updated on your travel plans. There is a section for this under your RSVP that you can go back to and edit at any time.

We have done our best to put all you need to know here on our website, but there is always something – especially since many of you have never been up’ta camp. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions, concerns, or general excitement, because this is going to be rad.

* Safety first of course, but let’s be clear – BBs at inanimate targets at the Lightbody Camp only. Keep in mind the closest hospital is 30 minutes away, and we are not responsible for any injury. Precious newborns and toddlers will be in attendance, so let’s remember to be outstanding adults and keep it in bounds.
